A Virtual Magician is a magician that performs their show online over the internet and use platforms like Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex or others to perform their show. If the internet goes down, Keelan has a back up line installed ready for that eventuality so his virtual magic show can go on as planned. Keelan has two internet lines installed a Virtual Fibre line which is underground and a BT broadband line which is overground minimising the risk of any failure due to one of the providers going down (unfortunately it happens!). Keelan also uses channel bonding software to reduce the risk of any noticeable issues occurring even if the internet line went down mid-performance. Keelan’s internet line will auto switch over to the working line seamlessly. Keelan and his virtual magic team always checks the internet service providers service status before every show so every eventuality can be planned pre-show.

There is really only two difference between those terms and that is between a Digital Magician and the others. Keelan has been known to be a pioneer in Digital Magic, that is creating magic around Digital Technology like, iPads, Smartphone, LED screens, even robotics, AI and drones, so the term Digital Magician, or Technology Magician or iPad Magician was used interchangeably but essentially meaning the same thing a magician that specialises in creating digital special effect and combining that with sleight of hand and illusions.

A Digital Magician is different from a Virtual Magician, Online Magician or a Zoom Magician by the fact that the latter terms are used to label a magician that performs their show over telecommunication platforms virtually, platform’s like Zoom, Google Meet, Webex, MS Teams, Remo, Blue Jeans and others. A Virtual Magician, Online Magician, or a Zoom magician doesn’t necessarily perform magic and mentalism using digital items like in their show they may perform more tradition magic tricks. Keelan tries to fuse all elements into his show, ‘digital magic’ which he has become known for internationally along with incredible mentalism as well as some awe-inspiring sleight of hand, performing a show that encompasses all tastes and has mass appeal.

Online Magic Shows that are powered by Zoom can be viewed by a maximum of 1000 people at any one time, as live active participants on video. Audiences of over 1000 we would move onto using the Zoom Webinar feature, or streaming into another platform via a streamkey. From our experience the show works really well for any number of guest above 4 people (screens). There is no real optimum number for a show like this but the dynamics of the show changes above 1000 people due to the nature of the platforms limitations, so it’s good to arrange a call with Keelan so he can discuss all the options for larger sized events. The Zoom Magic Show is perfect to close a virtual business meeting or a private party.  The interactive nature of a Zoom Magic show is important so you want to keep it to a number (or platform) where as many people can as actively be involved as possible.

No Zoom Magicians don’t always use Zoom, they also can use Webex, Skype, Houseparty, Microsoft Teams and many others but Zoom seems to be the most popular and well known to the general public due to its fame generated during the lockdown and social distancing period.

An online magic show via Zoom can cost anything between £200 to £2000 depending on the complexity and length of the show. An ‘off the shelf’ show will be a lot cheaper then a full bespoke company branded show where tricks have been specially created for the purposed of delivering a brand message whilst entertaining and amazing.

A Zoom Magician will perform interactive magic and mind reading tricks that work through the screen in real time. For example you will think of a word and the Zoom Magician will reveal the word you are thinking in amazing ways! You will also witness incredible sleight of hand which is personalised to you!
